ITINERARY
Day 4
After a camp breakfast, we set off for our second day on the Tara. With the clear flowing water beneath us, 20km will be a cruise and we will have plenty of time to stop, swim, play and soak in the awe-inspiring landscape around us. We spend one more night in tents with the sound of flowing water sending you to sleep. |
Day 5
The final day of the Tara, and the most challenging of the rapids as we tackle the 14km rafting section all the way to the border. The short distance gives us plenty of time to stop, scout and plan our route through these exciting rapids. Or maybe you'd rather just hop in the raft? Once we reach Scepan Polje, we'll transfer back to Basecamp and for one last night in the bungalows, have a home cooked meal and regale our river stories around the fire. |

What sup experience do i need?
This is not for beginners, some experience paddling Class II rapids on a SUP is required. And ability to comfortably paddle 10km. A lesson or two with a whitewater SUP coach beforehand would really help. The ability to swim and climb back onto your board is essential.
If you're unsure or would like a recommendation of a coach, feel free to reach out to Kev on Whatsapp to discuss - +447508706359

do i need to bring my own sup?
We recommend to bring your own SUP and paddle to help with better technique progression. But, on request, we can provide Tambo's newest WW SUP model, the Witch 11' x 34" along with their classic Scalpel Eco Vario paddle. This can be ordered during the booking process for £170.

Most major countries in Europe have direct flights to Podgorica Airport. From there, we will have a transfer waiting for you to drive you the 3 hours to basecamp.

What are the river and rapids like?
The river flows at a lovely pace, meaning we can cover distance easily. It's crystal clear and cool. The rapids range from mostly class I and II, then on the final day we will be tackling some class III. We will always stop and check the larger rapids before paddling to ensure safe lines, and paddlers will have the options to walk around or hop into the raft.
